I used Dr Cannon for years, he was wonderful. Unfortunately he retired. I took one of my female Rottweilers in because of an infection, Dr Nick did see her. He also worked with me on payment for an emergency surgery. That is the only reason for a second star. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED to learn that he put in her chart the cause of the infection was over breeding. The dog had 2 litters in her 7 years of life, which I had informed him. She had not been bred in years, and the resulting infection was due to the lack of breeding and her age. Its upsetting to me to know that he DID NOT listen to me concerning my dogs history, that being said I will no longer refer anyone to his practice.
Thank you Dr. Koten for testifying in the seizure case today. Not an easy thing to do but you were subpoenaed as a witness to attend and tell the truth. If there are reviews on your website trying to discredit you, hopefully the reader will understand those who lose in court will try to hurt. Evidence was presented and the Judge did what was in the best interest of the dog. Thank you. I will make the conscious decision to bring my animals to you for vet care.

I took "Mapache" and "Maizy," two rescue Pyrenees to Dr. Koten to have them spayed. We tranquilized them both before transport. One was limp as a sack of potatoes and was carried inside without incident the other went from all the way "off" to all the way "on" in nothing flat. She ran across the street and disappeared into the woods and stayed there for almost a month. That day Dr. Koten and his staff, a neighbor on horseback and another neighbor driving his Mule searched for our dog almost all day. They left food out for her every day she was on her adventure. A few days ago Dr. Koten called me and told me they had placed a walk-in coyote trap where Maizy almost always appeared. The next day they captured her. She was then spayed, shampooed, vaccinated, "deticked" and "defleaed." I picked her up and reintegrated her with our pack -- healthy and energetic as ever. Point is, they just don't make veterinarians like this anymore. This Vet, his staff, and their dedication to all their animals is abjectly evident. There was no charge for the extras -- only warm smiles that accented selfless dedication. I don't know why but "Thank You" seems to ring so hollow. It will, however, have to suffice. This is why we use Lindale Pet Hospital.
They care for my Working Dog, My wife's house dog and my preforming Mules I hire out across the Country. They are great caring, dedicated, knowledgeable, and friendly clinic. My vet of many years retired. I am glad to use Dr Koten and his clinic.
